The more I watch my son Philip grow up, the more I realize how blessed I am to be his mom. Everywhere he goes, he meets people who instantly fall in love with him. He's only two, but he's already starting to read his favorite stories to me. I'm just absolutely amazed by him and the things he does on a daily basis. He's in the terrible twos with me, but he's almost a completely different child around his daddy. I guess it just goes to show that he's his daddy's boy. I'm ok with that though because he's so much like his dad- they click in a way that Philip and I don't. That's not to say that he doesn't love me or that he loves me less than he loves his dad- the love is just different. The video is a tribute to the love that he and his dad share. To my two favorite fellas- Buck and Philip. I love you guys and you make my life complete; that is, until my "Mini Me" comes along. ;-)

I was really impressed with your video and family. The introduction was hooking! The effects of the first picture with the city and water background was like a movie beginning. The song choice was the perfect compliment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful boys, both of them!
ReplyDeleteHpw precious!! I can totally relate. My son will be 10 soon and he is his daddy's boy-at least he knows how to work him moreso than me!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! The process of making this video was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. I began thinking about the most important events in my life and discovered that I had lots of pictures to tell the story of my son's birth. After choosing about 10 pictures, I realized that I needed to narrow my selection so my photostory wouldn't be too long. Once I chose the most important pictures, I realized that I should let the pictures pretty much speak for themselves with the exception of captions. Lauryn Hill's song "To Zion" completely expressed my feelings about first being afraid of having a child but then realizing that it was the best thing that ever happened to me, so I figured that song would tell the story in a way that I couldn't. Although I chose to let the song, pictures and captions do most of the storytelling, I did want my voice to be heard, so I decided to use the first portion of the song where the no singing was taking place to lead in to the photostory itself. Overall, I think I was successful in telling our story and my family has enjoyed it. I plan on using Photostory again in the future to tell other stories about my life.
ReplyDeleteWhat a moving video! Your son will appreciate this when he grows up. Keep it going...you'll have a priceless collection to share with grandchildren. Believe me, your son will grow up faster then you know it. Enjoy every moment!
